Ostick and Consul General of Mexico in San Diego Marcela Celorio.<\/p>\n<p>He mentioned that this Forum was for created for analyzing rail services in Baja California, &#8216;the Forum is designed to highlight opportunities, benefits of the infrastructure and how the industry has evolved trough time, and what solutions can the railroad offer for freight in the region&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>The activities of the Forum initiated with an exhibition about the retrospective of the railroad and its involvement in the prosperity of The Baja Region, which was narrated by Train Model Expert Michael Thornhill, Member of the San Diego Model Railroad Museum, in collaboration with Juan Jose Cabuto Vidrio, President of Railroad Foundation of Baja California and member Antonio de la Cerda. The retrospective was preceded by formal inauguration of the event.<\/p>\n<p>The first discussion panel \u201cCalifornia and Baja California Railroad: History and Background\u201d was presided by Professor in Geography and Transportation John Kirchner from The University of California, History Professor of Autonomous University of Baja California\u00a0Pablo Guadiana, and Director of Regional Studies of The California from The University of California Paul Ganster.<\/p>\n<p>Second Panel \u201cRailroad Challenges and Opportunities: Impacts, Benefits &amp; Regulations\u201d was presided by Sub-secretary for California DOT Chad Edison; Director of Railway Development and Multimodal for Mexican DOT Pedro Vacio, and The President of The Baja Logistics Cluster Gerardo Brizuela.<\/p>\n<p>The last Panel \u201cRailroad Logistics in the Cali Baja Region\u201d: Union Pacific Railroad Director of Operations for Mexico David Gazzetta, HazMat Manager for FRA Francisco Gonzalez, National Board Member and Supply Chain Committee Director of Index Oscar Garcia and Business Development\u00a0Manager of BJRR Jorge Izquierdo.<\/p>\n<p>The Forum was closed by Consuls William A.
